Overview

Silogan ni Gian, nestled at 2 Gorordo Avenue in Cebu City, stands out as a favorite breakfast spot for locals and visitors alike who crave classic Filipino silog meals. Known primarily for its Bicol Express Silog and Baconsilog, this restaurant offers simple yet hearty dishes that capture the savory and spicy flavors distinctive to Filipino breakfast culture.

The experience at Silogan ni Gian is straightforward and no-frills. The space is spacious and clean, albeit modest, with functional ceiling fans to keep the air moving. It’s a roadside establishment that embraces practicality—customers can even enjoy their meals using their hands, thanks to an available hand-washing station nearby. While the place lacks air conditioning, it remains inviting, especially during the cooler evenings, as the restaurant operates around the clock, catering to early risers and late-night diners.

This spot shines for those who value freshness and balance in their meals. Portions are well-measured, delivering the right flavor profile that balances savory and spice without overwhelming the palate. The Bicol Express Silog, with its rich and creamy coconut sauce paired with tender pork, and the Baconsilog, featuring crispy bacon alongside garlic rice and a perfectly fried egg, both exemplify the restaurant’s commitment to flavor. However, some diners have noted that the rice serving might feel a bit scant if you have a hearty appetite.

Silogan ni Gian is ideal for budget-conscious customers who appreciate authentic Filipino fare delivered with speed, although service times may vary depending on how busy the restaurant gets. Parking can be a challenge, especially given the popular location near landmarks like JY Square Mall and Silogan Express. The absence of free water and soup may come as a caveat for some, but the affordability and taste of the meals often make up for these minor drawbacks.

Overall, Silogan ni Gian offers a genuine taste of Cebuano breakfast culture that is accessible both in terms of location and price. It caters well to those seeking a substantial, flavorful start to their day without needing a formal dining experience—perfect for students, workers, and anyone looking for a quick, satisfying meal.

I have always heard about Silogan ni Gian, but I have never tried any of its branches, until today. Food is good and affordable, although the 1 cup of rice seems lacking. P.S. This is near Silogan Express, which is near JY Square Mall.

Silogan ni Gian serves affordable and tasty food combo meals, from classic silog favourite to hearty rice dishes that satisfy your cravings without breaking the budget. You can also eat with your hands if you prefer as they have a hand washing area available. Note: The establishment is equipped with ceiling fans only.

Of all the Sisigan / Silogan that we've been to, this is the place that I always go back into. Right portion, the right flavor and balance of savory and spicy. Super delicious Sisig here. The place is also spacious and clean!

Our go to favorite Silogan. Open 24 hours. Prices are reasonable. Just beside the street. Only available in Grab and maybe Maxim but not in Foodpanda though. No soup offered. No free water. Place gets a bit hot during mornings to afternoon.

One of the most affordable if not the most affordable "Silogan" in town. Speed of serving will depend on the number of diners but it's sure is freshly cooked, wide-variety of choices that goes with fried rice and egg. The Sisig needs a lot of improvements. Road side convenience. Car riding folks need to find your parking as the front gets filled easily with motorbikes.

I normally dine in at Silogan ni Gian, but their delivery is also my go-to when it comes to having something cheap yet filling for a meal. They have been one of my go-tos since I found out they were also on Grab. My favorites would have to be their chicken skin followed by their sisig. The taste is always consistent whichever branch I've gone to so far. I appreciate how they're so affordable and have generous servings, especially with rice. Additional rice through their Grab is not that expensive either. Would definitely recommend Silogan ni Gian as one of the must-trys while you're in Cebu.
